Exploring our being and becoming…
Emotional pain manifests itself in varied, often confusing ways. My hope is to build a trusting relationship that helps you heal and expand through exploring unconscious patterns, somatic integration, and self-awareness. I enjoy helping individuals feel empowered to cope with current stressors, learn how their past influences their current emotions and behaviors, shift restricting relational patterns, and cultivate skills and awareness put to use outside of our time together. In the process I hope that our relationship will be something that contributes to your growth and healing in creating a meaningful life for you.
For those who desire it, I integrate a faith-based perspective, honoring the role of spiritual longing, suffering, and hope in healing. I believe God meets us where we are—and that therapy can be a vessel for God’s healing work. Within a grounded therapeutic relationship, new possibilities for restoration and connection can unfold.
I work from an attachment and relational psychodynamic perspective and integrate the body-mind connection into my trauma informed healing centered work. I have helped clients struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, abuse and trauma, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, and self esteem.
I have received training in psychodynamic therapy, attachment, trauma- focused cognitive behavioral therapy (children and adult specialties), DBT, and mindfulness. I am receiving ongoing training and supervision in psychoanalytic therapy, neurobiology, and attachment based practices.
